CHADRON – The Chadron High School council members were presented a check Monday morning from the recent “Drive One 4 Ur School” event.
The event was held on April 14 and members of the community could test drive a brand new Ford at the high school. In return Ford would donate money to the school.
The school council decided to do the event and help raise money for a brand new marquee. On Monday, Rob Walhstrom presented the check, in the amount of $2,800, to three newly elected members of the school council. Members receiving the check included President Brittany Kouba, Vice-President Maggie Earney and Secretary Kaylee Gaswick.
The new marquee is expected to cost around $25,000, though specs on the marquee have not been determined. When the new marquee is in place the current one will be moved to Chadron Middle School.
This is the fifth time Walhstrom Ford has partnered for the event.
