(Neb.) - Panhandle departments join forces to battle flames

MINATARE, Neb. (AP) - A Scottsbluff fire department has joined Minatare in battling flames that are consuming tires and railroad ties.
    
Minatare responded to the fire around 10 a.m. Wednesday. The fire site is about a mile and a half north-northwest of the town.
    
Minatare asked the Scottsbluff Rural Fire Department to send pump trucks and firefighters.
    
No injuries have been reported and other information about the fire's cause and spread hasn't been released.
