By: Chad Franzen Posted at: 02/08/2010 11:29 AM

Chadron Police arrested 18-year-old Chadron State College student Cory Runnells, after he allegedly brandished a knife at his roommate.

Police responded to a disturbance call, around 3 o’clock Saturday morning, at Kent Hall on the CSC campus.

Officers spoke with 19-year-old James Satarka in the lobby of the dormitory, and determined that he and Runnels had a disagreement over music. Upon further investigation, a knife was recovered from the scene. Runnells was arrested and taken to the Dawes County Jail.

Runnells faces felony charges of second degree assault and use of a weapon, other than a firearm to commit a felony. He was also charged with disturbing the peace.

Runnells posted a bond of ten-percent of $50,000.
