CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - Wyoming Gov. Dave Freudenthal is set to address state lawmakers in his annual state of the state address in Cheyenne.
Freudenthal, a popular Democrat, is scheduled to address the Legislature at 10 a.m. Monday.
Freudenthal is in the last year of his second term and hasn't yet announced whether he will seek re-election.
Wyoming has enjoyed flush financial times for most of Freudenthal's tenure since he took office in early 2003. However, the state's energy boom has faded recently and the governor is likely to implore lawmakers not to spend any of the state's projected $700 million in reserve funds in the coming two-year budget cycle.
Despite current tough financial times, Freudenthal commonly emphasizes that Wyoming is in better financial condition than most other states.
