Chadron Police culminated a four day criminal investigation, Friday, with the arrest of a 26-year-old Chadron man on nine counts of felony sexual assault and child abuse.
Officers arrested Randy McIntosh, early Friday morning, after serving a search warrant at his trailer on Maple Street. Officers seized pictures, an I-Pod, a scan disk card, a camcorder, a laptop computer, several cellular phones, condoms, and alcohol from his residence.
According to a press release from Chadron police officer CJ Hughes, McIntosh faces felony charges on three counts of first degree sexual assault, one count of sexual assault of a child, one count of sexual assault through the use of an electronic communications device, and four counts of child abuse.
McIntosh is being held at the Dawes County Jail on $250,000 bond.
The press release says Chadron police first received a harassment report, involving McIntosh, from 16 and 17-year-old females, which led to an interview with a 14-year-old minor. Those investigations led to his arrest. The Chadron police were assisted by the Dawes County Attorney’s office and the Nebraska State Patrol.
The Chadron Police Department says if you have any information related to this criminal investigation, or any others, you can call them at 308-432-0150, or you can remain anonymous by calling Dawes County Crime Stoppers at 308-432-0519.
