(Neb.)-CHS' Kiya Stack Wins Miss Alliance Crown

The 2010 Miss and Outstanding Teen Alliance/Panhandle pageant was held on Sunday, January 31 at Alliance High School. Walking away with the title of Miss Alliance 2010 was Chadron High School senior Kiya Stack (pictured, second from left), the daughter of Jill and Rob Stack of Chadron. The title of Miss Panhandle 2010 was bestowed on Samantha Moline (third from left), the daughter of Jackie and Eric Moline of Lincoln. Ashley Douglass (far left), the daughter of Rita and James Douglass of Columbus, was named 1st runner-up to Miss Alliance 2010.
Meghan Thalken (third from right), the daughter of Bette and David Thalken of North Platte was chosen as Miss Alliance Outstanding Teen 2010 while Kodi Baumann (second from right), the daughter of Todd and Jennifer Baumann of Chadron received the title of Miss Panhandle Outstanding Teen 2010. Receiving the outstanding teen 1st runner-up award was Tosha Skinner (far right), the daughter of Brett and Tina Skinner of Hay Springs.
Several awards were presented during coronation. The overall miss interview was awarded to Moline while Stack received the overall miss talent award. The teen overall interview went to Baumann while Thalken and Baumann shared the overall teen talent award. Stack and Skinner received the miss and teen audience choice awards. The Miss Congeniality awards went to Holly Huston, the daughter of Sherrie and Greg Huston of Mitchell and Kathy Scherbarth, the daughter of Ron and Trudy Scherbarth of Chadron. The 1st and 2nd place community service awards for the miss competition were awarded to Katrina Poppert, the daughter of Jean and Pete Poppert of Lincoln and Kaylee Snyder, the daughter of Denese and Rocky Snyder of Scottsbluff. Baumann received the teen community service award.
Each titleholder received a prize package including a scholarship, crown, bouquet and will advance to compete for the title of Miss Nebraska and Miss Nebraska Outstanding Teen in North Platte in June, 2010.
