RAPID CITY, South Dakota (AP) - A former Fall River County sheriff's deputy has been sentenced to five years in prison for rape.
Buckly McColl pleaded guilty to the charge earlier this month.
He was sentenced on Friday.
The 42-year-old McColl faced up to 25 years in prison and a $50,000 fine.
Court documents say McColl admitted to picking up a woman in his patrol vehicle last November and having sex with her in the sheriff's office in Edgemont. The documents say McColl also admitted that the woman was incapable of giving consent because she was drunk.
