Waylon was born on March 13, 2003 in Rapid City, SD to William Boyd Cash and Lynell Kay Morrison-Cash. He made his journey to Heaven on February 23, 2018 near Rushville, NE.
Waylon grew up in Pine Ridge, SD and spent the majority of his childhood years in the Pine Ridge area. Waylon moved to Montana with his mother and sister for a few years but returned back to Pine Ridge in 2013 and started attending PineRidgeElementary School. During this time, Waylon became part of the Thorpe Family, which very soon became part of his family, and this meant the world to him. Waylon began playing basketball for the Pine Ridge Thorpes in 2015; basketball was his passion, and he excelled on and off the court. He looked up to his coaches, Darby Steele and Jesse Brown, and always had the utmost respect for them. Waylon would also take part in all of the other sporting activities that the Thorpes were involved in, always cheering on his fellow classmates and the entire Thorpe Family every chance he got. Waylon will be missed by many, especially his family, friends, and his Thorpe Family, but he will always be remembered by his love, generosity, and his hugs.
If there was ever an angel that walked this Earth, it was Waylon Cash.
Waylon is survived by father William Boyd Cash; sister Jessica Lynn Cash; brothers Paul Morrison Jr. and Alvin Mills; grandparents Norman and Dorothy Cash; hunka father Marty Brewer; close friend Rishaun Apple; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Waylon was preceded in death by mother Lynell Kay Morrison-Cash; sister Mary Elizabeth Cash; brother Leonard Standing Bear; grandparents Alphonso and Doris Morrison; and cousin Jaimie Morrison.
