01/20/2018 - John Dean “JD” Ten Fingers

Funeral services for John Dean “JD” Ten Fingers “Wambli Isnala Mani” (Eagle Walks Alone), age 33, will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at the Brother Rene Hall in Oglala, SD with Sister Connie Schmidt officiating. Traditional Lakota services will be provided by Ivis Long Visitor officiating.
 
Burial will be at the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Wounded Knee, SD.
 
Visitation services will be from 10:00 AM-3:00 PM on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at the Brother Rene Hall in Oglala, SD.
 
Pallbearers will be Charlie Rouillard Sr., Sam Pickett, Marvin Ross Sr., B.J. Plenty Arrows Jr., Chris Long Visitor, Renaldo “Lotto” Two Bulls, Arlene “Chub” Weasel Bear, and Brandon Kills Small.
 
JD was born on February 19, 1984 in Pine Ridge, SD to Lorie Dean Ten Fingers and Danelle Two Bulls. He made his journey to the Spirit World on January 15, 2018 at Sanford Ava’s Hospice House in Sioux Falls, SD.
 
JD is survived by parents Danelle (Lawrence) Two Bulls and Dean (Helena) Ten Fingers; special moms Carleen Crow, “Angie Rose” Long Visitor, Roberta Little Spotted Horse, Hilda Kills Small, and Carol Bravo; children Alila and Sienna Ten Fingers, Mackenzie “Monkey,” Kennedy “Fatgirl,” Dani “Beans,” Billy Joe “Lil’ Whiteguy,” Sterling, Kera, Temari, Neil, and Lizzy; siblings Sunny Rae, Bobby Ten Fingers, Jerrod Little, Lawrence III, Angel, Misty, Garrett, Jerred, Wayne, Sierra, Rebekkah, Will, Mike, and Mel; grandparents Florence Ten Fingers, Vestana Two Lance, and Wanda Donavon; and special friend Emily Two Lance.
 
JD was preceded in death by grandparents Della Mae Starr, Archie Hopes Sr., Gary Tobacco, and Richard Ten Fingers Sr.; and baby girls Alexis and Taylor Ten Fingers.

Sioux Funeral Home of Pine Ridge, SD is in charge of arrangements for John Dean “JD” Ten Fingers “Wambli Isnala Mani” (Eagle Walks Alone).
