07/13/2017 - Faith 'Bubbles' Tobacco

Funeral services for Faith Ann “Bubbles” Tobacco “Ska Agli,” age 59, will be at 9:00 AM on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at the Brother Rene Hall in Oglala, SD with Reverend Harold Eagle Bull officiating.
 
Burial will be at the Tobacco Family Cemetery in Calico near Pine Ridge, SD.
 
A one-night wake service will begin at 1:00 PM on Friday, July 14, 2017 at the Brother Rene Hall in Oglala, SD.
 
Faith was born on May 22, 1958 in Pine Ridge, SD to Elmer and Ida (Waters) Tobacco. She made her journey to the Spirit World on July 11, 2017 at the Rapid City Regional Hospital Hospice of the Hills in Rapid City, SD. 
 
Faith worked for the Oglala Sioux Tribe for over three decades. She was a caretaker and pillar in the community and her family. She had a laugh that was contagious and a heart made of gold. Many people remember her by her many years working for the C.H.R. program. She helped many people and touched a lot of families with her compassion and dedication. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
 
Faith is survived by daughter January Tobacco of Pine Ridge, SD; granddaughter Nevaeh Tobacco of Pine Ridge, SD; brother Elmer Tobacco Jr. of White Butte, SD; sister Hermine St. Cyr of Lawrence, KS; nieces Mary Mousseau, Elmarie Tobacco, Ella Tobacco, Tanya Tobacco, and Jennifer Warrior, all of Pine Ridge, SD, Hoberta Stands of Rapid City, SD, Holly Stands of Tulsa, OK, and Deanna St. Cyr of Lawrence, KS; nephews JR Tobacco of Oglala, SD, Austin Warrior of Slim Buttes, SD, Lester Warrior of Pine Ridge, SD, and Conway New Holy of Grass Creek; uncle Norman Fourd of Mission Flats, near Pine Ridge, SD; and grandchildren Thomas Red Hawk, River Forney, Darius Thunder Hawk, Trevor, Trenton, Tyler and Talyssa Herman, and Zaiden Tobacco, all of Pine Ridge, SD.
 
Faith was preceded in death by parents Elmer and Ida (Waters) Tobacco (Sr.); son Herman Elmer Tobacco; brother Nathan (Ben) Tobacco; nephews Narval Tobacco and Dave “Worm” St. Cyr Jr.; aunt Emily Nancy Waters; brother-in-law Dave St. Cyr Sr.; and good friend Irene Tibbitts.
 
Sioux Funeral Home of Pine Ridge, SD is in charge of arrangements for Faith Ann “Bubbles” Tobacco “Ska Agli.”
