Loren, the son of Delbert and Ruth Walker, was born on August 24, 1926 in Lusk, Wyoming. Loren grew up in the Lusk area. He graduated from high school in Spearfish, South Dakota.
Loren was drafted into the Army in 1945 and returned home in 1946 to ranch with his uncle, Ray Harris, near Lance Creek, Wyoming. He was married to Marjorie Larson in 1948. The two had one son, Dale Walker. They ranched there until 1952 when they moved to a ranch near Harrison. Marjorie passed away in 1990 and Loren later married Elaine Rabe who passed away in 2008.
Loren continued to live on the ranch until recently. He was a gifted woodworker who enjoyed making ornate wood projects for family and friends. Fond of nearly anything mechanical, Loren had a passion for restoring older vehicles such as his 1923 Model-T and 1946 Chevrolet pickup that he continued to work on until recently.
Chamberlain Chapel of Crawford is in charge of arrangements.
