Funeral Service for Homer W. Chase Alone, age 45, of Rapid City, will be Saturday, February 22, 2014 at 11:00 AM, at the Wounded Knee District School in Manderson, SD with Father Peter Klink, S.J. officiating.
Burial will be at Chase Alone Family Cemetery, Manderson, SD.
Two night wake services will start at 10:00 AM on Thursday, February 20, 2014 at the Wounded Knee District School in Manderson, SD.
Traditional Lakota Services provided by Mr. Francis Thunder Hawk.
Homer W. Chase alone was born on August 26, 1968 to George T. Chase Alone, Sr. and Mary E. Chase Alone. Homer attended Manderson Day School until he graduated 8th grade. He was active in basketball and was also part of the Crazy Horse Boxing Team. Homer enjoyed riding horses with his cousins and family, fishing, hunting, listening to country music, and spending time with his children. Homer worked with his father George at the Packing Plant in Gordon, NE; his father shown him how to work on cars and trucks, doing mechanic work was something Homer did to help other people.
Homer was a great father to his two children, and he also took care of his mother. Homer also liked to go to the casino in Wyoming and to Prairie Winds.
Homer Chase alone was preceded in death by his father, George T. Chase Alone, Sr.; brother, George R. Chase Alone, Jr.; sister, Eunice Chase Alone; grandson, Daniel James Chase Alone; and his niece, Danielle “Dani” Romero
Sons: Wesley D. Chase Alone of Manderson, SD and Derek Steele of Chamberlain, SD
Daughter: Fern M. Chase Alone of Bismarck, ND
Sisters: Elizabeth Chase Alone and Sonia Chase Alone both of Manderson, SD, Frances Chase Alone of Ontario, Canada, and Jennifer Chase Alone of Wounded Knee, SD
Brothers: Leonard Chase Alone and Robert Chase Alone both of Manderson, SD
