11/18/2013 - Naca Adolph Bull Bear

Funeral services for Naca Adolph Bull Bear, age 80, of Kyle, South Dakota, will be Monday, November 18, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the Little Wound School in Kyle, South Dakota, with Reverend Cordelia Red Owl and Pastor Stanley Hollow Horn officiating.
 
Burial at St. Barnabas Episcopal Cemetery in Kyle, South Dakota.
 
 
A two night wake service will be starting Saturday, November 16, 2013 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Bull Bear residence in Kyle, South Dakota with the wake starting at 3:30 p.m. at the Little Wound School in Kyle.
 
Adolph was preceded in death by his children, Marvaleen Bull Bear and Royal (Rawhide) Bull Bear; and parents, Royal and Eva (Good Crow) Bull Bear; siblings, Peter (Buzzy) Bull Bear, Timothy Bull Bear, Verine Clifford, and Raymond (Vance) Bull Bear
 
This is a humble tribute to a great man, brother, father, grandfather, and great-great grandfather. The great grandson of great leaders and chiefs who passed into the Spirit World and left behind a legacy of visions, dreams, and realities.
 
Adolph Bull Bear was born to Royal Bull Bear, son of Peter Bull Bear and Edith Lone Bull of Frances White Lance daughter of Daniel White Lance and Julie Yellow Thunder. Great grandpa Daniel White Lance was the second eldest son of Horned Cloud (Mahpiya Hehun) and younger brother to Dewey Beard. Owl Creek. Royal married into Big Foot Minneconjou ban Eva Good Crow whose mother is Frances White Lance daughter of Daniel White Lance and Julie Yellow Thunder. Great grandpa Daniel White Lance was the second eldest son of Horned Cloud (Mahpiya Hehun) and younger brother to Dewey Beard.

Sons: Charlie (Marla) Bull Bear of Bone Steel, SD, Ted Bull Bear of Cheyenne, WY, Patrick Bull Bear of Gregory, SD, and Meltino (Mel Hawkins) of Kyle, SD
Daughters: Devonna Bull Bear of Wall, SD, Madonna Bull Bear of Sioux Falls, SD, and Roberta Oldman and Rudolph Bull Bear both of St. Stephens, WY
Sisters: Linda (Bull Bear) Broken Nose of Oglala, SD and Arlene Bull Bear of Kyle, SD
Grandchildren: 18
Great Grandchildren: 5
 
Sioux Funeral Home of Pine Ridge is in charge of arrangements.
