09/03/2013 - Robert “Bob” Howard Geiser

A Mass of Christian Burial for Robert “Bob” Howard Geiser of Harrison, Nebraska will be held on Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at 10:00 AM at the Church of the Nativity in Harrison with Father Bernard Berger officiating. 
Burial will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Harrison with a luncheon to follow at the VFW. 
A wake service will be held on Monday, September 2, 2013 at 7:00 PM with cake and coffee to follow at the North Church.
Bob Geiser, 89, of Harrison, Nebraska passed away on August 29, 2013 at the Ponderosa Villa in Crawford.
He was born on August 21, 1924 to John and Lois Geiser. He spent his entire life in Sioux County. He received his education in District 23 and graduated from Sioux County High School, Class of 1943.
He married Ileene Thompson on December 31, 1947 and to this union two daughters were born. They moved to Harrison in 1970 where he was employed by Sioux County High School where he was known to all as “Uncle Bob.” In 1976, they purchased Geiser Hardware, propane gas and Vermeer Baler Equipment, until they sold the store in 1995. After retiring his pride became supporting the SCHS athletics. He continued with the Vermeer Sales until 2007 and then fully retired. He is survived by his daughters, Glenda Bauersachs of Harrison, Bobbee Jean (Mike) Guggenmos of Rapid City, South Dakota; grandchildren Tina (Corey) Wilson, Bobbie Jo (Todd) Helvig, Tate Bauersachs, Dawn and Joel Guggenmos; great grandchildren, Kayla, Kylee, Austin, Tyler, Kaden, Lanie, Isaac, and Addisyn; his brother Jack (Wille) Geiser of Harrison; brother-in-law Dalyce Ronnau of Lincoln, Nebraska; sister-in-law Betty Thompson of Rapid City, South Dakota; numerous nieces and nephews and his lifelong flying buddy, Dick Porter.
He is preceded in death by his wife Ileene, his parents, brother Richard Geiser and sister Delores Ronnau.
