Memorial services for Hubert Leo Showers, age 76, of Crawford, Nebraska will be Saturday, October 6, 2012 at 10:30 AM at the Harrison Bible Church in Harrison, Nebraska with Pastor Matt Parker officiating.
Inurnment will take place at a later date in Woodburn, Iowa.

Hubert Leo Showers was born on October 16, 1935, to Coy (Lockwood) Showers and Lawrence Leo Showers in Leon, Iowa. He spent the first part of his life in Iowa where he met his future wife. On August 7, 1955, Hubert married Hazel L. Chipp. To that union, four children were born.
In 1958, they relocated to California where Hubert worked various jobs through the years from working at a dairy farm in Northern California, to training race horses in Southern California. Hubert became a minister in 1969 and retired in 2008. Hubert and Hazel moved to Nebraska in August of 2010 where he spent his remaining days. Hubert loved the outdoors, hunting, riding horses, and most of all his family. Hubert loved to sit and visit with people and tell old stories. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend.
Those preceding him in death include his mother, Coy Showers, father Lawrence Showers, son Jeffrey Showers, brothers Dean and Charles Showers, and his sister Elsie Stackhouse.

Daughters: Sheryl Princic of Vista, CA; Shirley (Joseph) Wharton of Ketchikan, Alaska, Rachel (Casey) Mader of Whitney, NE.
Grandchildren: John (Daytha) Princic of Escondido, CA; Stacey Princic of Vista, CA; Ethan, Tyler and Hannah Wharton of Ketchikan, Alaska, Cheyenne Shaw of Hemingford, NE; Casey Shaw of Juneau, Alaska.
Great Grandchildren: Andrew, Sean, and Joshua Princic of Escondido, CA.
Sister: Bernice (Verlin) Chipp of Indianapolis, IN; Lois (Max) Keller of Woodburn, IA.
Sisters & Brothers: Lawrence, Marguerite, Ramona, Rosanna, Marsha, Dana, Raymond.
Chamberlain Chapel of Crawford is in charge of arrangements.
