THURSDAY, JULY 6

 

All Day – Primitive Rendezvous Setup (3 miles East and 8 miles south on Bordeaux Road)

All Day – Trading Stories: A Native American Film Festival, Chadron Public Library (Complete Schedule TBA)

Thursday Afternoon – Novelty Shoots (Primitive Rendezvous)

Thursday Evening – Candle Shoot (Primitive Rendezvous)

6:00 p.m. to 9:00 pm – Bands on Bordeaux, sponsored by the Chadron Chamber of Commerce (Bordeaux & 2nd Street)

 

FRIDAY, JULY 7

Noon – Chadron Record TCR Treasure Hunt (Starts at 2nd & Morehead)

1:00 to 4:00 p.m. – Historical Musician Paul Siebert: Meet and Greet and Educational Presentations (Courthouse Lawn)

1:30 p.m. – Youth Rifle Matches (Primitive Rendezvous)

2:00 to 5:00 p.m. – Chadron High School and Middle School Tours (Call 308-432-0700 for info)

5:00 to 7:00 p.m. – Kids Activities: Face Painting (Courthouse Lawn)

5:00 pm to 6:00 pm – Pre-registration for Classics in the Park and Cruise (Wilson Park)

 

6:00 p.m. – Historic Flag Ceremony followed by announcement of Coloring Contest winner (Courthouse Lawn)

6:00 p.m. – Women’s Ranch Rodeo (Dawes County Fairgrounds)

10:00 a.m. – Rob Brown Memorial Men’s Softball Tournament begins

2:00 p.m. -  “The Life of a Fur Trader” Poetry Finals and Open Readings sponsored by the Nebraska Writer’s Guild and Chadron State College (Courthouse Lawn)

2:00 p.m. – Dawes County Cruisers Poker Run (Helen’s Pancake and Steak House)

3:00 p.m. – Classics in the Park Awards Ceremony (Wilson Park)

3:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. – Historical Musician Paul Siebert Presentation at the Gazebo (Courthouse Lawn)

4:00 p.m. and 7 p.m. – Cemetery Historic Tours, Greenwood Cemetery (West of Walmart)

4:00 p.m. – Traders’ Market Closes

6:00 p.m. – Open Ranch Rodeo (Dawes County Fairgrounds)

                    ***The Chadron Volunteer Fire Department will be honored during the rodeo***

 

 

SUNDAY, JULY 9

10:30 a.m. – Camp Meeting and Hymn Sing with Paul Siebert (Courthouse Lawn)

1:00 p.m. – MTG Hour of Devastation Prerelease Tournament (EJ’s BBQ, 251 Main Street)

1:00 to 3:00 p.m. – 18 Hole Disc Golf Tournament (Chadron State Park)

3:00 p.m. – Regatta (Canoe/Paddle Boat Races) sponsored by Kiwanis, (Chadron State Park)

 

ADDITIONAL ACTIVITIES

 

The Museum of the Fur Trade and the Dawes County Historical Museum will be open during regular hours.  Several groups from Chadron High School and Chadron Prep will be holding reunions.
